Shabana Shahanavaz, MD, MBBS
I'm a pediatric cardiologist specializing in congenital heart disease and interventional cardiology. I have a passion for helping patients by being involved in multi-center trials and projects. These trials focus on developing interventional cardiology technology and a better understanding of available therapies to benefit patients around the world.
As director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Cincinnati Children's, I have clinical expertise in performing complex diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization instead of open-heart surgery or adjunct to surgical procedures.
My research is focused on catheter-based intervention to treat congenital heart defects, clinical trials in congenital interventional catheterization, and innovations.
